Hauchat
Challenge
A new and unique initiative to create a meeting place for humans and animals was born in Poznan. The Center for Animals will be very well equipped with modern dog paddocks and a training room amongst many other facilities. Most importantly, however, it will house an animal shelter that will be able to accommodate 250 dogs and 250 cats.
We had the pleasure to create a website dedicated to this initiative: https://centrumdlazwierzat.pl/. Promotion of such a unique initiative requires unique solutions so we decided to create an interactive HauChat on the website.
Hauchat is a free web application, where you can talk to a dog or cat of your choice. There are eight animals, each with specific characteristics and needs, that you can talk to. You can choose a dog or cat yourself or by solving a test that will match you with a per that best suits you. The user will become the main character, and his choices (positive or negative) will affect the further course of the dialogue. In addition to being entertaining, HauChat primary function is education – it will show users how to look after a pet in everyday situations.
Promotion of such a unique initiative requires unique solutions. We used the Progressive Web App, a modern type of web application. PWA, gaining more and more popularity, offers many benefits of native Android applications without the drawbacks typical for these applications. PWA is just a website that can be saved on the screen of your smartphone (just like any application), but you don’t need to visit the Google Play store.
In addition to the modern solution, we also made sure to provide an aesthetic design by using our own illustrations and micro animations.
